Check Dam Across River Cauvery In Kambarasampettai Village Near Mutharasanallur in Srirangam Taluk of Trichy District.

This check dam is located near Trichy, constructed across river Cauvery. This was done to have a better ground water recharge. Unlike other conventional check dams, this was done with Diaphragm wall pile (0.60m to – 4mtr to 8 meters depth ) acting as a cut-off wall. The scope includes sluice gates, precast concrete apron, loose boulders Apron, earthen embankment, precast slab pitching, etc.
